Once exclusively a watercolor artist and

signature member of the California Watercolor Society,

I now enjoy exploring several additional mediums including

pastel, acrylic, and lately alcohol ink. Each one has its rewards

and, of course, unique challenges. And the interesting

combinations of two or more mediums provide endless

possibilities. Often too many!

The process for me is generally comprised of four aspects:

first, there is resistance to be overcome or side-stepped,

then acceptance of the belief in the value of my effort…

no matter the outcome….After this letting go comet

he best parts: the pleasure in the process itself, and lastly,

gratitude for the opportunity. Overriding it all is the ongoing

evolution of the subject matter, its composition, and the

application of the medium.
